Abstract

The results of basic health research in 2018, the prevalence of hypertension was 34.1%. One of the factors causing hypertension is cholesterol levels that accumulate so that the blood supply to the kidneys is obstructed. Ureum and creatinine are part of the parameters of renal function examination. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cholesterol levels and urea and creatinine in patients who have a history of hypertension. The sample of this study were patients with a history of hypertension by taking prolanis patient medical records at the Bakti Tunas Husada Clinic. The data were processed using SPSS 21 with a correlation test. The results of the relationship between cholesterol levels and urea levels were p = 0.268, and the results of the relationship between cholesterol levels and creatinine levels were p = 0.557. These results can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between cholesterol levels and levels of urea and creatinine in patients with a history of hypertension in prolanis participants at the Bakti Tunas Husada Tasimalaya Clinic. Key words: Hypertension, Cholesterol, Kidney Function
