Abstract

Abstrak Kupa atau gowok adalah salah satu tumbuhan anggota suku jamu-jamuan famili myrtaceae yang berasal dari Indonesia. Biji buah kupa telah terbukti memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat dengan dengan IC50 5,246 ppm. Penelitian ini diakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dan stabilitas sediaan lotion dari ekstrak biji buah kupa. Ekstraksi simplisia biji buah kupa dilakukan dengan metode maserasi bertingkat menggunakan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat dan etanol 96%. Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan lotion ekstrak biji buah kupa dilakukan dengan metode DPPH dan evaluasi sediaan menggunakan metode cycling test meliputi pengamatan organoleptik, pH, viskositas, daya sebar dan homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etil asetat dan sediaan lotion ekstrak asetat biji buah kupa memiliki IC50 sebesar 2,82 ppm dan 2,12 ppm. Lotion ekstrak etil asetat biji buah kupa telah memenuhi persyaratan evaluasi sediaan fisik, kimia maupun stabilitas dengan pH dalam rentang 6,50-6,68, viskositas dalam rentang 2050-2650 cP dan daya sebar 5-5,3 cm. Kupa fruit seeds have been shown to have very strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 of 5.246 ppm. This research was conducted to determine the antioxidant activity and stability of lotion preparations from kupa fruit seed extract. Extraction of simplicia seeds of kupa fruit was carried out by graded maceration method using n-hexane, ethyl acetate and 96% ethanol as solvents. Testing the antioxidant activity of the kupa seed extract lotion was carried out using the DPPH method and the evaluation of the preparation using the cycling test method included observations of organoleptic, pH, viscosity, spreadability and homogeneity. The results showed that the ethyl acetate extract and lotion preparations of kupa seed acetate extract had IC50 of 2.82 ppm and 2.12 ppm, respectively. Kupa fruit seed ethyl acetate extract lotion has met the requirements for evaluation of physical, chemical and stability preparations with pH in the range of 6.50-6.68, viscosity in the range of 2050-2650 cP and dispersion of 5-5.3 cm.
