Abstract

ABSTRACT Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Indonesia is one of the diseases with the number of pain that tends to increase from year to year. Long-term use of synthetic larvacide can cause adverse side effects. So the purpose of this study is to conduct formulations and larvacide tests against Aedes aegyptii mosquitoes from aloe vera leaf extract which is suspected to have alkaloid compounds, flavonoids, saponins and tannins as larvacide. Experimental research design with a research subject of 750 aedes aegyptii larvae. The subject of research is divided into two, namely extract testing and granule testing. The number of samples used in one concentration is 25 larvae, with 5 treatment groups on extract and granule tests and 3 repetitions. Observations were conducted for 24 hours with a difference of 6 hours of observation time. Themephos 1% is used as a positive control, water as a negative control. The data obtained were analyzed by probit test using microsoft office excel 2013.The result was obtained that aloe vera leaf extract has an effect as larvacide with a concentration of 2% has a percentage of larval death 93% LC50 value 1945 ppm. Granule preparations aloe vera leaf extract has larvacide activity with a concentration of 8% aloe vera leaf extract has the highest larvacide activity with a percentage of test larva death 97% with a value of LC50 3578 ppm. As for the characteristics of the granule preparations, the 3 formulas meet the standard except for the size of the granule distribution which needs to be improved. ABSTRAK Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) di Indonesia merupakan salah satu penyakit dengan angka kesakitan yang cenderung meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Penggunaan larvasida sintesis jangka panjang dapat menyebabkan efek samping yang merugikan. Maka tujuan penelitian ini melakukan formulasi dan uji larvasida terhadap nyamuk Aedes aegyptii dari ekstrak daun lidah buaya yang diduga memiliki senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin dan tanin sebagai larvasida. Desain penelitian eksperimental dengan subjek penelitian 750 larva Aedes aegyptii. Subjek penelitan dibagi menjadi dua, yaitu pengujian ekstrak dan pengujian granul. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam satu konsentrasi adalah 25 larva, dengan 5 kelompok perlakuan pada uji ekstrak dan granul serta 3 kali pengulangan Pengamatan dilakukan selama 24 jam dengan selisih waktu pengamatan selama 6 jam. Themephos 1% digunakan sebagai kontrol positif, air sebagai kontrol negatif. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji probit menggunakan microsoft office excel 2013. Hasil didapat bahwa ekstrak daun lidah buaya memiliki efek sebagai larvasida dengan konsentrasi 2% memiliki persentase kematian larva 93% nilai LC50 1945 ppm. Sediaan granul ekstrak daun lidah buaya memiliki aktivitas larvasida dengan konsentrasi 8% ekstrak daun lidah buaya memiliki aktivitas larvasida tertinggi dengan persentase kematian larva uji 97% dengan nilai LC50 3578 ppm. Adapun untuk karakteristik sediaan granul dari 3 formula memenuhi syarat standar kecuali ukuran distribusi granul yang perlu diperbaiki.
