Abstract

ABSTRAK UJI DAYA HAMBAT EKSTRAK BUNGA TELANG (Clitoria ternatea L) TERHADAP MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus) OLEH : Lestari Nur Hasanah 20119029 ABSTRAK Bunga telang mengandung konstituen fitokimia seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, dan beberapa senyawa aromatik lainnya yang berguna sebagai mekanisme pertahanan terhadap banyak mikroorganisme. Penyakit infeksi dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa mikroorganisme multiresisten seperti (Methycillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus) MRSA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk pengaruh ekstrak bunga telang terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri MRSA dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi terendah dari ekstrak bunga telang yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri MRSA. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode uji difusi agar Kirby-Baueur. Hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil zona hambat pada konsentrasi (20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%) dengan besaran (10,7 mm, 10,8 mm, 11,0 mm, 11,1 mm, 11,4 mm, 11,7 mm, 12,2 mm, 13,5 mm, 20,8 mm). Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu ekstrak bunga telang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri MRSA dan Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) yaitu pada konsentrasi 20% adalah 10,7 mm. Kata Kunci : Bunga telang, (Methiciliin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus) MRSA, Daya Hambat, KHM ABSTRACT Telang flower contains phytochemical constituents such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and several other aromatic compounds that are useful as a defense mechanism against many microorganisms. Infectious diseases can be caused by several multiresistant microorganisms such as (Methycillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus) MRSA. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect extract of telang flower on the growth of MRSA bacteria and to determine the lowest concentration extract of telang flower that could inhibit the growth of MRSA bacteria. The research method is an experiment using the Kirby-Baueur agar diffusion test method. The results showed that the inhibitory zone at concentrations (20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%) with a size of (10.7 mm, 10.8 mm, 11 0.0mm, 11.1mm, 11.4mm, 11.7mm, 12.2mm, 13.5mm, 20.8mm). The conclusion of this study is that the telang flower extract can inhibit the growth of MRSA bacteria and the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) at a concentration of 20% is 10.7 mm.
