Abstract

ABSTRAK EVALUASI SIFAT FISIK DAN UJI IRITASI SEDIAAN ESSENCE MASKER SHEET EKSTRAK UMBI UBI JALAR UNGU (Ipomoea Batatas L) Indah Alvina Damayanti Program Studi S1 Farmasi, Universitas Bakti Tunas Husada Tasikmalaya Tanaman yang hidup di Indonesia sangat beragam dan memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kehidupan manusia sebagai bahan pangan, pengobatan maupun kosmetik. Salah satunya yaitu tanaman umbi ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L ) yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan aktif dalam pembuatan kosmetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak umbi ubi jalar ungu mampu diformulasikan ke dalam sediaan essence masker sheet serta tidak menimbulkan iritasi sehingga aman digunakan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimental laboratorium. Sediaan essence masker sheet dibuat menjadi 4 formula dengan konsentrasi ekstrak umbi ubi jalar ungu yang berbeda yaitu F0 sebagai blanko, F1 (3%), F2 (5%) dan F3 (10%). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa simplisia memenuhi persyaratan mutu yang telah ditetapkan, sediaan essence memiliki bentuk cairan agak kental, memiliki warna tidak berwarna sampai merah, bau mawar. Pada uji hedonik warna yang paling banyak disukai yaitu F2, bau F0 dan untuk tekstur tidak ada perbedaan Asymp.sig , maka H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu ekstrak umbi ubi jalar ungu dapat diformulasikan ke dalam sediaan essence masker sheet serta memenuhi syarat uji fisik sediaan dan aman digunakan. ABSTRACT Plants that live in Indonesia are very diverse and have many benefits for human life as food, medicine and cosmetics. One of them is the purple sweet potato tuber (Ipomoea batatas L.) which can be used as an active ingredient in the manufacture of cosmetics. This study aims to determine whether purple sweet potato tuber extract can be formulated into sheet mask essence preparations and does not cause irritation so it is safe to use. The method used in this research is a laboratory experimental method. Essence sheet mask preparations were made into 4 formulas with different concentrations of purple sweet potato tuber extract, namely F0 as blank, F1 (3%), F2 (5%) and F3 (10%). The results showed that simplicia met the quality requirements that had been set, the essence preparation had a slightly viscous liquid form, had a colorless to red color, smelled of roses. In the hedonic test the most preferred color is F2, smell is F0 and for texture there is no difference in Asymp.sig >0.05, then H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. The conclusion in this study was that purple sweet potato tuber extract was able to be formulated into sheet mask essence preparations and met the physical test requirements of the preparation and was safe to use.
