Abstract

Kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) memiliki beberapa senyawa yang membantu proses penyembuhan luka seperti asam klorogenat, alkaloid, flavonoid dan tanin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui formula terbaik gel ekstrak biji kopi robusta sebagai penyembuh luka sayat. Serbuk biji kopi robusta diekstraksi dengan cara maserasi. Sediaan gel yang telah jadi dilakukannya evaluasi. Sediaan gel tersebut diuji pada mencit yang sudah diberikan perlakuan luka sayat dan diamati proses penyembuhan lukanya selama 20 hari. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan SPSS. Presentase penyembuhan luka pada kelompok kontrol negatif (42%), kontrol positif (55%), formula 1 (59%), formula 2 (64%) dan formula 3 (70%). Ekstrak biji kopi robusta dapat diformulasikan dalam bentuk gel dan memiliki efek penyembuhan luka sayat terbaik pada formula 3 dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 30%. Kata kunci: ekstrak biji kopi robusta, gel, penyembuhan luka sayat ABSTRACT Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) has several compounds that help the wound healing process such as chlorogenic acid, alkaloids, flavonoids and tannins. This study aims to determine the best formula for robusta coffee bean extract gel as a wound healing agent. Robusta coffee bean powder is extracted by maceration. The finished gel preparation was evaluated. The gel preparation was tested on mice that had been treated with cuts and the wound healing process was observed for 20 days. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using SPSS. The percentage of wound healing in the negative control group (42%), positive control (55%), formula 1 (59%), formula 2 (64%) and formula 3 (70%). Robusta coffee bean extract can be formulated in the form of a gel and has the best wound healing effect in formula 3 with an extract concentration of 30%.
