Abstract

ABSTRAK CRP atau C-reactive protein adalah salah satu protein fase akut yang terdapat dalam serum normal walaupun dalam jumlah amat kecil. Dalam beberapa keadaan tertentu dengan reaksi radang atau kerusakan jaringan (nekrosis), baik yang disebabkan oleh penyakit infeksi maupun yang bukan oleh karena infeksi. Pada thalassemia, beberapa faktor diduga dapat mengakibatkan kerentanan pasien terhadap infeksi. Baik faktor akibat penyakitnya sendiri maupun akibat pengobatan dan tindakan yang dilakukan dalam perjalanan alamiah penyakit thalassemia. Dengan kerentanannya terhadap infeksi, maka sangat penting untuk mengetahui berbagai penyakit infeksi yang dapat dialami seorang pasien thalassemia. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran hasil pemeriksaan kualitatif CRP pada pasien penderita Thalassemia. Serta bagaimana tingkat keparahan terhadap peradangan yang terjadi pada pasien Thalassemia. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran hasil pemeriksaan kualitatif CRP pada pasien penderita Thalassemia. Pada penelitian yang sudah dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran hasil kualitatif C-Reaktif Protein (CRP) pada pasien thalassemia. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 30 orang pasien thalassemia di RS Prasetya Bunda. Responden yang diperiksa sudah memenuhi kriteria inklusi, dengan hasil 3 orang positif (10%) dan 27 negatif (90%). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar hasil pemeriksaan kualitatif CRP pada pasien thalassemia adalah normal. In certain circumstances with an inflammatory reaction or tissue damage (necrosis), both caused by infectious and non-infectious diseases. In thalassemia, several factors are thought to contribute to the patient's susceptibility to infection. Both factors due to the disease itself as well as due to treatment and actions taken in the natural course of thalassemia disease. With its susceptibility to infection, it is very important to know the various infectious diseases that can be experienced by a thalassemia patient. The purpose of the study was to describe the results of the qualitative examination of CRP in patients with thalassemia. As well as how the severity of inflammation that occurs in Thalassemia patients. Methods This research used descriptive analytic method which was conducted to describe the results of the qualitative examination of CRP in patients with thalassemia. In a study that has been carried out to determine the description of the qualitative results of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) in thalassemia patients. The population in this study were 30 thalassemia patients at Prasetya Bunda Hospital. Respondents who were examined had met the inclusion criteria, with the results of 3 positive (10%) and 27 negative (90%). Thus it can be concluded that most of the results of the qualitative examination of CRP in thalassemia patients are normal. Keyword : CRP, Thalassemia, Infection
