Abstract

Abstrak Penyakit kulit akibat infeksi jamur menjadi salah satu penyakit paling umum di dunia. Indonesia merupakan negara dengan iklim tropis yang memungkinkan pertumbuhan jamur Pityrosporum ovale sebagai flora normal tubuh meningkat begitu pesat. Penggunaan daun jati merah dimasyarakat masih terbilang kurang. Salah satu metabolit sekunder pada daun jati merah yaitu flavonoid, pada penelitian sebelumnya ekstrak daun jati merah memberikan aktivitas terhadap jamur Candida albicans dan kelompok jamur dermatofit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar flavonoid pada ekstrak daun jati merah dan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antijamur serta konsentrasi daya hambat pada jamur Pityrosporum ovale. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapat kadar flavonoid total ekstrak daun jati merah sebesar 327,52 µg qe/mL atau sebesar 3,27%. Hasil uji aktivitas pada jamur Pityrosporum ovale menunjukan adanya aktivitas ditandai dengan adanya zona hambat pada media pengujian. Aktivitas antijmur Pityrosporum ovale ekstrak daun jati merah ditunjukan pada larutan uji dengan konsentrasi 500 ppm termasuk kategori sedang, 750 ppm termasuk kategori kuat dan 1000 ppm termasuk kategori kuat. Kata Kunci: Antijamur, daun jati merah, flavonoid total. Abstract Fungal infection skin disease is one of the most common diseases in the world. Indonesia is a country with a tropical climate that allows the growth of the fungus Pityrosporum ovale as a normal floral body to increase so rapidly. The use of red teak leaves in the community is still relatively lacking. One of the secondary metabolites in red teak leaves is flavonoids, in previous studies the red teak leaf extract provided activity against the fungus Candida albicans and the dermatophyte group of fungi. This study aims to determine the levels of flavonoids in red teak leaf extract and to determine the antifungal activity and concentration of inhibition of the fungus Pityrosporum ovale. Based on the results of the study, the total flavonoid content of red teak leaf extract was 327.52 µg qe/mL or 3.27%. The results of the activity test on Pityrosporum ovale showed activity, which was indicated by the presence of an inhibitory zone on the test medium. The antifungal activity of Pityrosporum ovale red teak leaf extract was shown in the test solution with a concentration of 500 ppm including the medium category, 750 ppm including the strong category and 1000 ppm including the strong category.
