Abstract

Abstrak Pityrosporum ovale adalah yeast atau jamur bersel tunggal yang merupakan anggota genus Malassezia sp. Mikroorganisme yang diduga sebagai penyebab utama Pityrosporum ovale yaitu Pityriasis (ketombe). Indonesia merupakan negara yang mempunyai iklim tropis dengan tingkat kelembapan yang tinggi, hal tersebut sangat berpengaruh bagi habitat beberapa jamur penyebab penyakit kulit. Jamur Ganoderma lucidum diketahui mengandung senyawa aktif dengan banyak khasiat seperti tanin, fenol, alkaloid, steroid dn flavonoid yang salah satunya bersifat anti bakteri. Obat atau zat yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur penyebab penyakit yaitu Antibiotika dan anti fungi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas daya hambat ekstrak etanol 96% jamur Ganoderma lucidum terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Pityrosporum ovale dengan konsentrasi 10-100%. Metodologi penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan melakukan penelitian metode kirby baeur (Difusi). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada uji daya hambat ekstrak etanol 96% jamur Ganoderma lucidum terhadap jamur Pityrosporum ovale tidak terjadi zona hambat. Sedangkan daya hambat kontrol positif menggunakan ketokonazole sebagai antifungi, hasil yang didapatkan sensitive dengan diameter zona hambat 29,4 dan kontrol negatif menggunakan aquades steril. Kata Kunci : Pityrosporum ovale, jamur lucidum, Antifungi Abstract Pityrosporum ovale is a yeast or single-celled fungus that is a member of the genus Malassezia sp. The microorganism suspected to be the main cause of Pityrosporum ovale is Pityriasis. Indonesia is a country that has a tropical climate with high levels of humidity, this is very influential for the habitat of several fungi that cause skin diseases. Ganoderma lucidum mushroom is known to contain active compounds with many properties such as tannins, phenols, alkaloids, steroids and flavonoids, one of which is anti-bacterial. Drugs or substances that can inhibit the growth of disease-causing fungi are antibiotics and antifungals. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the inhibitory power of 96% ethanol extract of Ganoderma lucidum mushroom against the growth of Pityrosporum ovale fungus with a concentration of 10-100%. This research methodology is experimental by conducting research on the kirby baeur method (Diffusion). The results showed that in the inhibitory power test of 96% ethanol extract of Ganoderma lucidum mushroom against Pityrosporum ovale fungus there was no inhibition zone. Meanwhile, the positive control inhibitory power used ketoconazole as an antifungal, the results obtained were sensitive with an inhibition zone diameter of 29.4 and the negative control used sterile distilled water.
