Abstract

ABSTRAK Kutu kasur atau bisa disebut kutu busuk (Cimex Hemipterus) termasuk kedalam famili Cimicidae. Kutu busuk salah satu jenis serangga yang terdapat di alam bebas dengan menganggu kenyamanan manusia. Senyawa anticimex yang didapatkan diantaranya senyawa yang bersifat insektisida sintetik dan insektisida nabati. Salah satu diantaranya insektisida nabati yaitu minyak kayu putih. Dalam upaya pengendalian kutu busuk tersebut dapat digunakan sprayer berbahan aktif minyak kayu putih untuk mematikan kutu busuk. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas minyak kayu putih terhadap mortalitas “Cimex”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dimana dilakukan percobaan pembuatan formula yang mengandung minyak kayu putih sebanyak 3 variasi diantaranya Formula A 10 %, Formula B 15 %, dan Formula C 25 %. Dari jumlah kutu busuk yang mati di lima cawan petri, didapatkan hasil pada formula A 45:14 menit, formula B 30:22 menit, dan fomula C 22:16 menit lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan kontrol dari segi waktu kematian kutu busuk. Kata kunci: Kutu busuk, Cimex, Anticimex ABSTRACT Bed bugs or bed bugs (Cimex Hemipterus) belong to the Cimicidae family. Bed bugs are one type of insect found in nature by disturbing human comfort. The anticimex compounds obtained include compounds that are synthetic insecticides and vegetable insecticides. One of them is a vegetable insecticide, namely eucalyptus oil. In an effort to control bed bugs, a sprayer made from eucalyptus oil can be used to kill bed bugs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of eucalyptus oil on “Cimex” mortality. This study used an experimental method in which experiments were carried out to make a formula containing eucalyptus oil in 3 variations including Formula A 10%, Formula B 15%, and Formula C 25%. From the number of bed bugs that died in five petri dishes, the results showed that formula A 45:14 minutes, formula B 30:22 minutes, and formula C 22:16 minutes were more effective than the control in terms of the death time of bed bugs.
