Abstract

Jumlah penderita lanjut usia semakin meningkat. Pasien lanjut usia merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan kepada berbagai penyakit menular dan degeneratif. Penyakit degeneratif memerlukan pengobatan yang beragam sehingga dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya pemakaian obat yang tidak tepat atau potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs). Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kejadian PIMs pada pasien lanjut usia di UPTD Puskesmas Cikijing berdasarkan Kriteria Beers 2023 dan STOPP START versi 3. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, dengan jenis penelitian observasional dengan desain cross-sectional dan data diambil secara prospektif dari data rekam medik pasien lanjut usia pada periode Januari-April 2024. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan kejadian PIM berdasarkan Kriteria Beers sebanyak 74 (55,64%), berdasarkan STOPP START sebanyak 60 (44,36%). Obat yang paling banyak dalam penggunaan yang tidak tepat yaitu Ibuprofen sebanyak 48 (64,86%), Furosemid sebanyak 9 (12,16%) dan Ranitidin sebanyak 8 (10,81%). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah kejadian PIMs pada pasien geriatri di UPTD Puskesmas Cikjing selama periode Januari-April 2024 baik berdasarkan Kriteria Beers 2023 dan STOPP START versi 3. Elderly patients are an age group that is vulnerable to various infectious and degenerative diseases. The use of inappropriate medications or potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) is one of the problems in the therapy of elderly patients. This study aims to detect the occurrence of potentially inappropriate medications in older adult patients at the Cikijing Community Health Center UPTD based on the Beers 2023 Criteria and STOPP START version 3. This research is descriptive, with an observational type of research with a cross-sectional design and data taken prospectively from medical record data of elderly patients in the period January-April 2024. The results of this study were found The incidence of PIM based on the Beers Criteria was 74 (55.64%), based on STOPP START it was 60 (44.36%). The drugs most frequently used inappropriately were Ibuprofen as many as 48 (64.86%), Furosemide as many as 9 (12.16%) and Ranitidine as many as 8 (10.81%). The conclusion of this study is the incidence of PIMs in geriatric patients at the UPTD Cikjing Community Health Center during the period January-April 2024 based on the Beers 2023 Criteria and STOPP START version 3.
