Abstract

ABSTRAK UJI POTENSI ANTIOKSIDAN DE-CHLOROPHYLL EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN TEH (camellia sinensis (L.) KUNTZE) SERTA FORMULASI SPRAY TONIK RAMBUT. Vicky Febriani Putri Program Studi S1 Farmasi, Universitas Bakti Tunas Husada Tasikmalaya Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat tonik rambut berbahan alami yang terbuat dari de-chlorophyll ekstrak daun teh (Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze), dan uji potensi antioksidan menggunakan metode DPPH dan FRAP untuk mengetahui potensi kemampuannya dalam menetralkan radikal bebas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa de-chlorophyll ekstrak daun teh memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang tinggi, dengan nilai AEAC (Ascorbic Acid Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity) yang diperoleh dari metode DPPH sebesar 32,112 mg/g dan metode FRAP sebesar 41,161 mg/g. Selain itu, formulasi tonik rambut dalam bentuk spray juga berhasil dibuat sediaan yang memenuhi standar SNI 16-4955-1998. Tonik rambut spray ini menunjukkan karakteristik yang memenuhi syarat dalam uji organoleptik, pH, dan penyemprotan, serta tidak menyebabkan iritasi pada uji iritasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa de-chlorophyll ekstrak daun teh dapat digunakan sebagai bahan aktif dalam produk perawatan rambut alami yang mengandung antioksidan. Kata Kunci: Ekstrak daun teh, de-chlorophyll, freez dry, antioksidan, DPPH, FRAP, tonik rambut Abstract The aim of this study was to develop a natural hair tonic formulated with de-chlorophyll tea leaf extract (Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze) and to evaluate its antioxidant potential through DPPH and FRAP assays to determine its ability to neutralize free radicals. The results demonstrated that the de-chlorophyll tea leaf extract possessed high antioxidant activity, with an AEAC (Ascorbic Acid Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity) value of 3.211 mg/g based on the DPPH method and 41.161 mg/g based on the FRAP method. Furthermore, the spray formulation of the hair tonic successfully complied with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 16-4955-1998. The spray hair tonic exhibited satisfactory characteristics in organoleptic evaluation, pH, and spray performance tests, and was found to be non-irritating based on the irritation test. These findings suggest that de-chlorophyll tea leaf extract can be used as an active ingredient in natural hair care products with antioxidant properties.
