Abstract

PROGRAM STUDI DIII REFRAKSI OPTISI FAKULTAS ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS BAKTI TUNAS HUSADA TASIKMALAYA Karya Tulis Ilmiah, Mei 2025 Lulu Ammala Analisis Kondisi Segmen Anterior Mata Sebelum Dan Sesudah Pemakaian Lensa Kontak Material Baru Lensa kontak merupakan alat bantu memperbaiki kelainan refraksi. Pengguna lensa kontak terus meningkat dan bisa berisiko menimbulkan gangguan pada segmen anterior mata, sehingga pentingnya pemilihan material dalam penggunaan lensa kontak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan kondisi segmen anterior mata sebelum dan sesudah pemakaian lensa kontak material methacryloyloxyethyl phosphoryl choline (MPC). Metode yang digunakan adalah analitik kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional terhadap 47 responden. Pemeriksaan segmen anterior mata meliputi konjungtiva palpebra inferior, konjungtiva bulbi, kornea, dan limbus menggunakan skala Efron. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan tidak terdapat perubahan signifikan (p > 0,05) pada segmen anterior mata setelah penggunaan lensa kontak material baru. Kata kunci: anterior mata, lensa kontak, methacryloyloxyethyl phosphoryl choline. Contact lenses are a tool to correct refractive errors. Contact lens users continue to increase and can be at risk of causing disturbances to the anterior segment of the eye, so the importance of material selection in the use of contact lenses. This study aims to analyze changes in the condition of the anterior segment of the eye before and after wearing methacryloyloxyethyl phosphoryl choline (MPC) contact lens material. The method used was quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach to 47 respondents. Examination of the anterior segment of the eye includes the inferior palpebral conjunctiva, bulbous conjunctiva, cornea, and limbus using the Efron scale. Wilcoxon test results showed no significant changes (p>0.05) in the anterior segment of the eye after the use of new contact lens material.
