Abstract

PROGRAM STUDI D III KEPERAWATAN FAKULTAS ILMU KESEHATAN UNIVERSITAS BAKTI TUNAS HUSADA Karya Tulis Ilmiah, Juni 2025 Maliska Apriyanti Penerapan Posisi Semi Fowler Pada Pasien PPOK Dengan Gangguan Pola Napas Tidak Efektif Di RSUD Dr. Soekardjo Kota Tasikmalaya xv + 65 Halaman + 7 tabel + 3 gambar + 1 bagan + 17 lampiran ABSTRAK Latar belakang Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik merupakan gangguan pernapasan progresif yang ditandai dengan obstruksi aliran udara yang tidak reversibel. Intervensi keperawatan yang berbasis posisi tubuh ini menjadi salahsatu pendekatan non farmakologis yang terbukti efektif dan mudah diterapkan. Posisi semi fowler yaitu posisi berbaring dengan elevasi kepala 30-45 derajat, diketahui dapat meningkatkan ekspansi paru, mengurangi tekanan pada diafragma, memperbaiki ventilasi alveolar, dan menurunkan beban kerja otot pernapasan. Tujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian posisi semi fowler pada pasien PPOK dengan gangguan pola napas di RSUD Dr Soekardjo Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. subyek penelitian ini sebanyak 2 responden dengan lama intervensi tiga hari. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya penurunan frekuensi napas dan peningkatan saturasi oksigen, kedua responden menunjukkan kedalaman napas sedang, tanpa napas tambaahan maupun retraksi cuping hidung. Kesimpulan penerapan posisi semi fowler terbukti terhadap penurunan respirasi dan saturasi oksigen pada pasien PPOK. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya agar penerapan posisi semi fowler tidak dijadikan satu-satunya intervensi dalam memperbaiki pola napas pasien. Diperlukan pendekatan terapi lainnya yang mendukung, seperti terapi farmakologis lainnya. This position-based nursing intervention is a non-pharmacological approach that has proven effective and easy to implement. The semi-Fowler's position, a lying position with the head elevated 30-45 degrees, is known to increase lung expansion, reduce pressure on the diaphragm, improve alveolar ventilation, and decrease the workload of the respiratory muscles. The purpose of to determine the effect of providing a semi-Fowler position on COPD patients with breathing pattern disorders at Dr. Soekardjo Regional Hospital, Tasikmalaya City. The research method used was descriptive with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were two respondents with an intervention period of three days. The results This indicates a decrease in respiratory frequency and an increase in oxygen saturation, both respondents showed moderate breathing depth, without additional breathing or nostril retraction.. Conclusion The application of the semi-Fowler position is effective in reducing respiration and oxygen saturation in COPD patients. Suggestions for future researchers include that the use of the semi-Fowler's position should not be the sole intervention for improving a patient's breathing pattern.
