Abstract

KARAKTERISASI MUTU SIMPLISIA DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK DAN SEDIAAN EDIBLE FILM DAUN SIRSAK (Annona muricata L) DENGAN METODE DPPH Fina Triana Iskandar Program Studi S1 Farmasi, Universitas Bakti Tunas Husada Abstract Soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) are one of the medicinal plants that contain secondary metabolite compounds such as flavonoids and polyphenols that have the potential as natural antioxidants, so they can be developed into edible film preparations. This study aims to determine the quality characteristics of soursop leaf simplicia, comparing the antioxidant activity of soursop leaf extract with edible film preparations. This study used an experimental method. Characterization of the quality of simplicia was carried out on specific and non-specific parameters according to the quality requirements of the Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia. Extraction was carried out using the maceration method with 70% ethanol solvent. Antioxidant activity testing was carried out using the DPPH method. Soursop leaf extract was made into edible film preparations and evaluated including organoleptic, pH, folding power, disintegration time, thickness, and antioxidant activity tests of edible film preparations. Data analysis began with a normality test, homogeneity test, One Way ANOVA and continued with the LSD (Least Significant Difference) test. The results showed that soursop leaf simplicia met the quality requirements of the Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia. The 70% ethanol extract of soursop leaves has strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 52.19 ppm (Sig. 000). The edible film preparation Formula 2 meets the physical quality requirements and shows the best antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 100.75 ppm. Thus, the 70% ethanol extract of soursop leaves has the potential to be developed as an active ingredient in edible film preparations as an antioxidant. Keywords: Soursop leaves, characterization of the quality of simple drugs, edible film, antioxidant activity.
