Abstract

Abstract The incidence of hypertension is considerable, and it frequently necessitates the use of several drugs, which raises the possibility of drug interactions. The purpose of this study was to examine the severity levels, antihypertensive medication classes, and possible drug interactions in prescriptions for hypertension patients at Tasikmalaya Regency's Cisaruni Primary Health Center. 96 prescriptions from 2024 were included in the descriptive retrospective design analysis. The Drug Interaction Checker on Drugs.com was used to assess drug interactions. 71% of prescriptions had possible interactions, according to the findings. The most commonly prescribed antihypertensive was amlodipine. 75% of encounters were categorized as moderate. Keywords: Hypertension, Drug Interaction, Polypharmacy
