Abstract

ABSTRAK Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemia serta terjadi perubahan progresif terhadap struktur sel beta pancreas. Kulit petai merupakan tanaman yang berkhasiat menurunkan kadar glukosa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian teh kulit petai (Parkia speciosa Hassk) terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah mencit (Mus musculus) jantan galur swiss webster yang diinduksi aloksan. Hewan percobaan dibagi atas 5 kelompok diantaranya kelompok 1 kontrol negatif, kelompok 2, 3, 4 dengan dosis teh kulit petai 10%, 20%, 30% yang di berikan masing-masing sebanyak (0,5 ml/kg BB mencit), dan kelompok 5 kontrol positif menggunakan glibenklamide dengan dosis (3,12 mg/kg BB mencit) diberikan sebanyak 0,5 ml/kg BB mencit. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan variable waktu 60, 120,dan 180 menit. Hasil persentase penurunan kadar glukosa darah mencit jantan setelah diberikan teh kulit petai pada variable 180 menit adalah dosis teh kulit petai dengan konsentrasi 20% sebanyak (17%) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan dosis teh kulit petai dengan konsentrasi 10% dan 30% sebanyak (24%,dan 21%). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji One Way Anova dengan program SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Teh Kulit Petai dengan konsentrasi 20% mengasilkan persen efektivitas cukup baik terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa sebesar 17% bila dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi 10% dan 30%. Kata Kunci : Teh kulit petai, Kadar glukosa darah, Aloksan ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by hyperglycemia and progressive changes in the structure of the beta cells of the pancreas. Petai skin is a plant that can reduce glucose levels. This study aims to determine the effect of petai skin tea (Parkia speciosa Hassk) on reducing blood glucose levels of male swiss webster mice (Mus musculus) induced by alloxan. The experimental animals were divided into 5 groups including group 1 negative control, group 2, 3, 4 with a dose of petai skin tea 10%, 20%, 30% which were given each as much (0.5 ml / kg BW of mice), and group 5 positive control using glibenclamide at a dose (3.12 mg / kg body weight of mice) given as much as 0.5 ml / kg body weight of mice. The research was conducted using time variables of 60, 120, and 180 minutes. The result of the percentage reduction in blood glucose levels of male mice after being given petai skin tea at the 180 minute variable was the dose of petai skin tea with a concentration of 20% (17%) better than the dose of petai skin tea with a concentration of 10% and 30% as much (24%) , and 21%). The data obtained were analyzed using the One Way Anova test with the SPSS 25 program. The results of this study indicated that giving Petai Skin Tea with a concentration of 20% resulted in a fairly good percentage of effectiveness in reducing glucose levels by 17% when compared to concentrations of 10% and 30%.
