Abstract

THE EFFECT OF HORMONAL CONTRACEPTIVES ON THE BREASTMILK PRODUCTION Ginna Sania Amelia1, Etty Komariah Sambas2, Soni Hersoni3 Program Studi DIII Keperawatan STIKes Bakti Tunas Husada Tasikmalaya Email : Ginnasa20@gmail.com ABSTRACT Hormonal contraceptives containing progesterone and estrogen in nursing mothers can inhibit the production of breast milk for nursing mothers. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of hormonal contraceptives used by breastfeeding mothers, to determine the effect of hormonal contraceptives on the production of breast milk for breastfeeding mothers. This research method uses the literature review method. The population of articles used in this KTI are all articles on Google Scholar, with a total of 20 relevant articles. Publish articles from 20211-2020. Research results: there are 11 articles that discuss the types of research and articles that discuss the effect of hormonal contraception on the milk production of nursing mothers. 15. Conclusion: the contraceptives that are widely used by breastfeeding mothers are DMPA injection contraceptives and the combination pill, and the least used by breastfeeding mothers is implants. The effect of hormonal contraceptives containing progesterone and estrogen on breast milk production for breastfeeding mothers is to inhibit the production and volume of breast milk for breastfeeding mothers. However, there are other factors that can affect breast milk production, namely: lack of nutritional intake of the mother during breastfeeding her baby, birth weight, mental calm and stress, cigarette consumption, alcohol consumption, maternal food, support from husband and other families, breast care, frequency of baby sucking or breastfeeding, feeding frequency. ABSTRAK Alat kontrasepsi hormonal yang mengandung progesteron dan estrogen pada ibu menyusui dapat menghambat produksi ASI ibu menyusui. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui jenis jenis alat kontrasepsi hormonal yang dipakai oleh ibu menyusui, mengetahui pengaruh alat kontrasepsi hormonal pada produksi ASI ibu menyusui. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode review literatur. Populasi artikel yang digunakan dalam KTI ini seluruh artikel yang berada di google scholar, dengan jumlah 20 buah artikel yang relevan. Publikasi artikel dari tahun 20211-2020. Hasil penelitian : terdapat 11 artikel yang membahas jenis2 penelitian dan artikel yang membahas pengaruh alat kontrasepsi hormonal pada produksi ASI ibu menyusui. 15. Kesimpulan : kontrasepsi yang banyak digunakan oleh ibu menyusui yaitu alat kontrasepsi suntik DMPA dan pil kombinasi, dan yang paling sedikit digunakan oleh ibu menyusui yaitu susuk/implan. Pengaruh alat kontrasepsi hormonal yang mengandung progesteron dan estrogen pada produksi ASI ibu menyusui adalah menghambat produksi dan volume ASI ibu menyusui. Walaupun demikian terdapat faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi produksi ASI yaitu : kekurangan asupan gizi ibu selama menyusui bayinya, berat lahir, ketenangan jiwa dan stress, konsumsi rokok, konsumsi alkohol, makanan ibu, dukungan suami dan keluarga lain, perawatan payudara, frekuensi hisapan bayi atau frekuensi penyusuan.
