Abstract

ABSTRAK HUBUNGAN C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) DAN ASAM URAT PADA INDIVIDU OBESITAS DAN NON OBESITAS Winda Muliawati, Meri Meri, Korry Novitriani (Program Studi D-III Teknologi Laboratorium Medik, Universitas Bakti Tunas Husada Tasikmalaya) Obesitas merupakan keadaan dimana terjadi penumpukan lemak dalam tubuh. Dikatakan obesitas jika indeks massa tubuhnya (IMT) >27. Obesitas merupakan factor risiko bagi beberapa kondisi dan penyakit serius. C-reactive protein merupakan kadar yang terdapat dalam tubuh dalam jumlah yang sangat sedikit, dan dapat meningkat drastis pada kasus infeksi atau peradangan yang serius. Asam urat adalah senyawa di dalam tubuh yang merupakan hasil katabolisme purin. Jika kadarnya dalam darah tinggi, dapat mengakibatkan masalah persendian. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan C-reactive Protein (CRP) dan asam urat pada individu obesitas dan non obesitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik. Populasi penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 orang masyarakat di Desa Karikil Tasikmalaya. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil hubungan C-reactive Protein (CRP) dengan IMT adalah p=0,142, sedangkan untuk hasil hubungan kadar asam urat didapatkan nilai p=0,232, nilai tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hubungan C-reactive Ptotein (CRP) dan asam urat pada individu obesitas dan non obesitas tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Kata Kunci : Obesitas, IMT, CRP, Asam Urat ABSTRACT THE RELATIONSHIP OF C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) AND uric acid in OBESITY AND NON-OBESITY INDIVIDUALS Winda Muliawati, Meri Meri, Korry Novitriani (D-III Medical Laboratory Technology Study Program, Bakti Tunas Husada University Tasikmalaya) Obesity is a condition where there is an accumulation of fat in the body. It is said to be obese if the body mass index (BMI) > 27. Obesity is a risk factor for several serious conditions and diseases. C-reactive protein is a level that is present in the body in very small amounts, and can increase dramatically in cases of serious infection or inflammation. Uric acid is a compound in the body that is the result of purine catabolism. If the levels in the blood are high, it can lead to joint problems. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between C-reactive Protein (CRP) and uric acid in obese and non-obese individuals. The research method used is descriptive analytic. The population of this study consisted of 30 people in Karikil Village, Tasikmalaya. From the results of the study, it was found that the relationship between C-reactive Protein (CRP) and BMI was p = 0.142, while for the results of the relationship between uric acid levels, p = 0.232, it could be concluded that the relationship between C-reactive Ptotein (CRP) and uric acid in obese and non-obese individuals did not have a significant relationship.
