Abstract

Abstrak Terdapat berbagai jenis pekerjaan yang memiliki risiko menurunkan kadar hemoglobin pada kesehatan manusia, dan salah satunya adalah pekerjaan sebagai pedagang pecel lele. Para pedagang pecel lele umumnya bekerja dari sore hingga larut malam, yang dapat berdampak pada pola tidur mereka. Pola tidur yang tidak optimal dapat mempengaruhi regenerasi sel-sel dalam tubuh, terutama dalam proses pembentukan hemoglobin. Hemoglobin merupakan molekul protein yang memiliki struktur cincin porfirin yang mengandung gugus heme. Protein ini mengandung zat besi dan terdapat dalam sel darah merah (eritrosit), berfungsi sebagai pengangkut oksigen (O2) dari paru-paru ke seluruh tubuh. Hemoglobin juga memiliki peran dalam mengambil O2 dari jaringan tubuh dan membawanya kembali ke paru-paru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan tingkat hemoglobin pada para pedagang pecel lele di Kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, dimaksudkan untuk memberikan gambaran yang detail tentang objek penelitian. Penelitian ini fokus pada mengukur kadar hemoglobin pada pedagang pecel lele di wilayah tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang melibatkan 20 responden, sebanyak 65% dari mereka (13 orang) memiliki kadar hemoglobin yang masuk dalam kategori normal. Sementara itu, 35% (7 orang) sisanya menunjukkan kadar hemoglobin yang tergolong rendah. Kata Kunci : Hemoglobin, pedagang pecel lele, begadang Abstrak Numerous occupations carry the risk of diminishing hemoglobin levels in human health, and one such example is the trade of catfish pecel. Those engaged in the catfish pecel trade typically operate during the afternoon until late at night, a schedule that can disrupt the sleep patterns of these traders. Suboptimal sleep quality can detrimentally impact the process of cell regeneration within the body, particularly concerning the production of hemoglobin, which can result in inadequate hemoglobin levels within the system. Hemoglobin, a protein characterized by a heme group arranged in a porphyrin ring, plays a crucial role in erythrocytes. These erythrocytes, commonly known as red blood cells, contain iron and function as carriers of oxygen (O2) from the lungs to various body tissues. Moreover, hemoglobin aids in conveying O2 sourced from tissues back to the lungs. The objective of this study was to depict the hemoglobin levels among catfish pecel traders in Tasikmalaya City. The study employed a descriptive research approach, which seeks to provide an in-depth portrayal of the subject under investigation. Specifically, this research delved into quantifying hemoglobin concentrations within the catfish pecel trader community in the city of Tasikmalaya. The results stemming from this inquiry, which encompassed 20 respondents, revealed that a majority (65%) of catfish pecel traders maintained hemoglobin levels within the normal range, constituting 13 individuals.
