HERAWATI, SILVI (2023) Head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) are tiny living parasites by sucking human blood Olive oil (Olive Oil) is a natural oil that has been extracted from olive fruit (Olea Europaea) which is known to have Phenolic compounds such as Flavonoids, Demethyloleuropein, and Oleuropein listroside. This study aims to find out how the effectiveness of several brands of olive oil (Olive Oil) on head lice mortality (Pediculus Humanus Capitis ) in vitro. The method used inThis research is an experimental method because it uses a brand of olive oil (Olive Oil) with different concentrations of 100%. The research results in get i.e. brands A and C are effective compared to synthetic pediculosides brand "X" with the active compound permethrin because in brand A the average the average time is 25 minutes 5 seconds, for brand C the average time is 23 minutes 56 seconds and brand “X” synthetic pediculicide obtained an average time of 32 minutes 2 seconds, whereas brand B is not effective because brand B has more killing powerie 2 hours 53 minutes, exceeding the average pediculosis positive control time X brand. Abstract
Hasil penelitian yang di dapatkan yaitu merek A dan C efektif dibandingkan dengan pedikulosida sintetis merek “X” dengan senyawa aktif permethrin karena pada merek A didapatkan rata-rata waktu 25 menit 5 detik, pada merek C didapatkan rata-rata waktu 23 menit 56 detik dan pedikulosida sintetis merek “X” di dapatkan rata-rata waktu 32 menit 2 detik, sedangkan pada merek B tidak efektif karena daya bunuh pada merek B lebih lama yaitu 2 jam 53 menit melebihi waktu rata rata kontrol positif pedikulosid merek X. Kata Kunci: Pediculus humanus capitis, minyak zaitun, Pedikulosida Abstract Head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) are tiny living parasites by sucking human blood Olive oil (Olive Oil) is a natural oil that has been extracted from olive fruit (Olea Europaea) which is known to have Phenolic compounds such as Flavonoids, Demethyloleuropein, and Oleuropein listroside.
