Abstract

ABSTRAK PEMERIKSAAN KUALITAS MIKROBIOLOGI DEPOT AIR MINUM ISI ULANG DENGAN METODE MEMBRAN FILTER DI KECAMATAN TAWANG KOTA TASIKMALAYA MICROBIOLOGICAL QUALITY INSPECTION OF REFILLED DRINKING WATER DEPOT USING THE MEMBRANE FILTER METHOD IN TAWANG DISTRICT, TASIKMALAYA CITY Marsha Nisrina Zahrani, Dewi Peti Virgianti, Khusnul Program Studi DIII Analis Kesehatan/TLM, Universitas Bakti Tunas Husada Kota Tasikmalaya Abstrak Air minum isi ulang dari depot (DAMIU) perlu memenuhi standar kualitas mikrobiologi agar aman dikonsumsi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan bakteri Coliform dan Escherichia coli pada sampel air dari DAMIU di Kecamatan Tawang, Kota Tasikmalaya serta menilai kesesuaiannya dengan Permenkes No. 2 Tahun 2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pemeriksaan laboratorium menggunakan metode membran filter dan media Compact Dry EC. Sebanyak 10 sampel air DAMIU diperiksa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 5 sampel (50%) tidak memenuhi standar karena mengandung Coliform dan/atau Escherichia coli, sedangkan 5 sampel lainnya (50%) memenuhi standar. Kontaminasi diduga disebabkan oleh sumber air yang rentan tercemar, sanitasi yang buruk, peralatan yang tidak higienis, dan prosedur sterilisasi yang tidak optimal. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengawasan berkala, pelatihan operator, serta perbaikan sanitasi dan higiene di DAMIU untuk menjamin air minum yang aman dan berkualitas bagi masyarakat. Abstract Refill drinking water from depots (DAMIU) must meet microbiological quality standards to ensure safety for public consumption. This study aimed to identify the presence of Coliform and Escherichia coli in DAMIU water samples in Tawang District, Tasikmalaya City, and assess compliance with Indonesian Health Regulation No. 2 of 2023. A descriptive quantitative method was applied, using membrane filtration and Compact Dry EC media for laboratory testing. A total of 10 water samples were analyzed. The results showed that 5 samples (50%) did not meet microbiological standards due to the presence of Coliform and/or Escherichia coli, while the remaining 5 samples (50%) complied. Contamination was likely caused by vulnerable water sources, poor sanitation, unclean equipment, and ineffective sterilization practices. This study emphasizes the need for regular monitoring, operator training, and improved hygiene and sanitation practices at DAMIU to ensure safe and high-quality drinking water for the community.
