Abstract

ABSTRAK FORMULASI DAN EVALUASI MASKER GEL PEEL-OFF EKSTRAK BIJI KOPI ROBUSTA (Coffea canephora) SEBAGAI SUMBER ANTIOKSIDAN ALAMI UNTUK PERAWATAN KULIT Fauziah Putri S-1 Farmasi, Universitas Bakti Tunas Husada Abstrak Biji kopi robusta (Coffea canephora) mengandung senyawa fenolik yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan masker gel peel-off ekstrak biji kopi robusta dan mengevaluasi karakteristik fisik serta aktivitas antioksidannya. Penelitian eksperimental dilakukan dengan empat formula (F0–F3) dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak dan PVA. Hasil menunjukkan seluruh formula homogen, memiliki pH sesuai kulit, stabil setelah enam siklus, dan tidak menyebabkan iritasi. F3 menjadi formula terbaik berdasarkan evaluasi fisik dan kesukaan panelis. Aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak memiliki IC₅₀ 23,93 ppm (sangat kuat), sedangkan sediaan masker sebesar 70,185 ppm (kuat). Masker gel peel-off ekstrak biji kopi robusta berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai kosmetik antioksidan alami. Abstrack Robusta coffee beans (Coffea canephora) contain phenolic compounds with potential as natural antioxidants. This study aimed to develop a peel-off gel mask using robusta coffee bean extract and to evaluate its physical characteristics and antioxidant activity. An experimental study was conducted using four formulas (F0–F3) with varying concentrations of extract and PVA. The results showed that all formulas were homogeneous, had a skin-compatible pH, remained stable after six cycles, and caused no irritation. F3 was identified as the best formula based on physical evaluation and panelist preference. The extract exhibited an antioxidant activity with an IC₅₀ of 23.93 ppm (very strong), while the mask formulation showed an IC₅₀ of 70.185 ppm (strong). The robusta coffee bean extract peel-off gel mask has the potential to be developed as a natural antioxidant cosmetic product.
